Marc Time joins the "Happening People" Club

http://www.eugeneweekly.com/2010/08/19/news.html#hp

“Music is my thing,” says Marc Gunther. Gunther left his Leave-it-to-Beaver childhood and religious-studies BA behind in Connecticut when he moved west and adopted the band-name Marc Time to play drums with The Jars in SF. “We opened for The Dead Kennedys.” A record collector since childhood, Time was a DJ in college, then introduced punk rock to UC Berkeley’s KALX in the mid-70s. As the Reverend Marc Time, he launched his Sunday Morning Hangover music and talk show on UO radio station KWVA shortly after moving to Junction City with his wife Barbara in 2002. “I’ll be a celebrity judge at this year’s slug queen contest,” he notes. In January of this year, after he had posted photos of empty downtown storefronts on Facebook, Time met with artist Peter Herley and photographer Paula Goodbar to found the Eugene Storefront Art Project. Since March 1, when sculptor David Miller installed the first exhibit at 857 Willamette, ESAP has sponsored 15 exhibits by 30 local artists in the windows of vacant stores. In the photograph, Time points out the work of Junction City artist Sandra Kay Bulley, on view at 187 6th Avenue in Junction City, ESAP’s first exhibit outside Eugene. Leo De Lyon -Soon on the Hangover !

I was called today by Comedian/Arranger /Voice Actor Leo De Lyon today. Great guy, we set up the Hangover radio interview for Sept 5. -worked with Phil Silvers,Al Kooper, and was the voice of "Spook" and "Brain" on the cartoon series "Top Cat".

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Leo De Lyon is an American voice actor famous for his role as Spook and Brain in the cartoon Top Cat. In the mid and late 1970s he performed on stage as pianist and vocal entertainer and was musical director for several artists s.a. Sandler and Young. He co-starred with Bob Haymes and Dorothy Loudon in the short-lived DuMont Television Network sitcom It's a Business (March-May 1952).

In 1962, he did a character voice on a recording of a song written by Al Lerner for a young artist named David Lucas for Doris Day and husband Marty Melcher's Arwin Records. The song was performed by Pookie and Hippy of the Soupy Sales show. Leo did a fabulous "Guttural" hook "Uga Uga Boola, Uga Boola Boola Uga". He also vocied Flunkey the baboon in Disney's 1967's Jungle Book.

Also recorded 45rpm release (date unknown probably early 1960s for Musicor (distributed by United Artists) Label number 1001 under Leo DeLyon and the Musclemen "Sick Manny's Gym (written by Alan Kooper)/ Plunkin"
