My Pal Nervo
He moved to Cleveland to WRUW and had his own show and was VERY active in the early CLE punk scene with bands like Pere Ubu, The Pagans DEVO and many others. This was while I was moving to Berkeley CA to work at Rather Ripped Records, Rasputins, and other record stores.
Later he moved out to Berkeley and joined the Jars and later The Art Faggots and much later Bo, and we ran Universal Records, and played music together till he moved to Pasadena and I moved to OR.
I have many stories of our adventures together and perhaps later I can remember some of them here.
Why I was Terminated at KALX in 1977
Then some smart ass program director decided I played too much punk rock-(see the notes scribbled after the word'Diversity'). They offereed me a 3 oclock in the morning shift so I told them to shove it.
My next radio job was here in Eugene on KWVA-88.1-FM in 2003-Thanks to all of you for supporting the Sunday Morning Hangover.

Sunday's Show
My Favorite Radio Station is Gone!!!
Well today at 2 PM Max 910 went dead and was relaced by the most boring oldies radio format programmed and executed by Robots. No more live DJ's. Here's THEIR story:
"We wanted to let everyone know that at 2pm today 97.1 KISN FM was moved to its new home at 910 AM replacing MAX 910.
AM910 was actually KISN’s original dial position way back when, so it’s more like coming home for KISN. With the advent of high definition (digital) Radio on the horizon and a marked improvement in AM quality, music formats on the AM dial will become prevalent again. Unfortunately, we say goodbye to MAX910 and the many terrific talk radio talent that made it special: Don Imus, Rick Emerson, Don & Mike, Tom Leykis, Phil Hendrie and more. MAX910 has been a great ride and no doubt these very entertaining personalities will be back on the radio in Portland again soon."
This TOTALLY SUCKS and if this trend continues radio as we know it will DIE. I feel like I lost a friend. I called and complained but I know it does no good.
RIP MAX 910

Bush's iPod
Bush has an aide download music for him and listens to it while mountain biking, the New York Times reported.
But what songs are on there? Apparently the "First iPod", as the player has been dubbed, is heavy on country music, but also a few classics.
The songs include Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl, Stevie Ray Vaughan's The House is Rockin and Joni Mitchell's (You're So Square) Baby, I Don't Care.
My Sharona by The Knack also made it onto the "First iPod", as did John Fogerty's Centrefield. Fogerty was one of the artists on the Vote For Change tour aimed at getting the president out of office.
Also on there was the Dead Kennnedys' "Too Drunk To Fuck" , Throbbing Gristle's "Zyklon B . Zombie", and Amon Duul II's "Deutsch Nepal", as well as the complete catalogue of the Cramps and Little Marcy.

First Terry Schiavo, then the Pope, and Now EZ Tree!
They just shut down my fave download site in the whole world---I am SO BUMMED!!!
Hello gals and guys,
We're very sorry having to tell you that we had to shut down EZT just a couple of minutes ago.
We got a call from our provider, they had received a few letters from a couple of lawyers. They requested EZT to be shut down immediately, otherwise we and the hosting service would be sued.
As you may imagine, we do not have the funds to fight a battle we most probably can't win anyway.
We would like to thank everyone here for their contributions to EZT, one way or the other, for sharing the music, sharing an ideal, for all your mails, rants, praises...
To say it with Joan Armatrading:
We had fun, fun, fun, fun
fun, fun, fun, fun
we had fun -- while it lasted...
--"Tall in the Saddle"--
You all take good care!
